Your family is going to love Bertrand Creek
Inspired by its natural setting, the house plans at Bertrand Creek are each named after one of Langley’s major water sheds — the streams and rivers that flow to the ocean.
This protected watershed flows from the Willoughby area of Langley towards the Serpentine River in Surrey. A haven for wildlife, look care fully and you might spot a red-legged frog or pileated wood pecker. Latimer Creek supports an abundance of fish species including coho salmon, coastal cutthroat trout and three-spine stickleback.
Bertrand Creek runs south through the community of Aldergrove in the Township of Langley, and is a cross-border tributary of the Nooksack River. (Originally known as the Sehkomekl to First Nations,) The creek continues to support salish sucker and Nooksack dace. It welcomes spawning coho and chum salmon in late fall, and rainbow and cut throat trout in spring.
Aldergrove, Langley Township
Come home to the quieter side of Langley and the “town” of Aldergrove. Birdsong fills the air, families head to Krause Berry Farm for roasted corn pizza, the daily grind consists of meeting friends at the Milsean Chocolate Shoppe and the Twilight Drive-In continues the tradition of entertainment under the stars.
Bertrand Creek enjoys an ideal location near all levels of schools, a wide selection of grocery stores and restaurants, plus Aldergrove’s upcoming Leisure Centre with ice arena, fitness room and swimming pool. Day trips to one of the nearby Regional Parks provide all-season adventure — geocaching at Campbell Valley, a picnic by the river at Derby Reach in Fort Langley or horseback riding through the forests around Aldergrove Lake.
All the spirit of a small town — summer fairs, wineries, orchards and family farms, with great accessibility to the world beyond.
